Surrendered to a shelter by her family and saved from euthanasia, Zuzu (formerly Dudu) has an enviable zest for LIFE!
After a much-needed dental, due to previous neglect, she’s now happily free of pain and has made herself happily at home in her foster home as part of their playful doggy pack. She may be 11, but don’t tell her that! Sizzling with spirit and spunk, sweet and social, she a beguiling blend of affectionate, active and adventurous.
While initially shy with new people, she quickly warms up to them, and not only loves making new dog friends but traveling to new places. As far as zesty Zuzu’s concerned, every experience is ever so exciting -- from trails, parks and beaches to restaurants and BBQ’s.
She especially enjoys going for walks, walking wonderfully on leash, and has excellent recall off leash. The perfect size for sitting on laps or being carried under one arm, she sleeps on her family’s bed at night, but she’s perfectly content to sleep on her doggy bed on the floor. And although she doesn’t have a large appetite, enticing her with her favorite “treats” (baked sweet potatoes, fried eggs or hot dogs), works wonders.
Loving and loyal, bright and beautiful, confident and curious, Zuzu will thrive in any active and affectionate home, preferably with children over 7. Could this be YOUR home?
Zuzu is spayed, up to date on vaccinations and microchipped. To meet or adopt Zuzu, fill out an application and a volunteer will contact you shortly.
