Vander is one of the chillest, best behaved dogs out there. He walks extremely well on a leash and will walk right next to you and look back at you constantly with a smile to make sure you are enjoying the walk as much as he is. Vander isn't actually the speediest dog around. He can do long walks and chase other dogs when he is in the mood but he is by no means "lightning fast". Vander likes to meet other dogs but can be skittish around large dogs or sudden movements. After long walks, Vander likes long naps on the couch. He won't curl up in your lap but enjoys being pet and being near his humans. Vander doesn't mind being picked up and held but prefers getting around on his own. Like most Jack Russels, Vander is very smart and picks up things quickly. He doesn't make a lot of noise and doesn't bark much at all; however he will wine a little in the morning when he wants to get up and play. Vander sleeps well over night in a crate but during the day likes to roam the house. He doesn't beg for food and doesn't chew on anything or try to jump up on surfaces he isn't allowed, he is a very easy dog. Vander would do well in a home where he can spend a lot of time around his human, he doesn't love being left alone. Vander is neutered and up to date on vaccines.
