Sweet and snuggly Urban could happily be cuddled and petted all day by his most obliging foster mom. A true people pooch, loving men and women equally, he may be initially shy around strangers, but once he warms up, he makes them his new best friends. Famous for “booping” his foster mom when he wants something -- he bumps her leg with his nose for food when she’s in the kitchen and bumps her arm for pets when they’re on the couch – he also “boops” her roommates when they come home just to say “hi.” Percolating with puppy-like energy and enthusiasm, he loves going for walks, walking well and never pulling on the leash, loves playing with other dogs, wrestling with them and chasing them all over the backyard. He also loves chewing on toys and bones and amusing himself by tossing his toys into the air and pouncing on them. Then, to recharge his batteries, he stretches out for a nap in the sun. Calm on car rides and when he’s being brushed, he’s highly food and treat motivated, is learning his basic commands, and is almost fully housetrained. To say that he hates crates is an understatement, and he’ll howl awhile if placed inside one when his foster mom goes out. And so, what Urban needs now is a home, preferably with another playful pup as his constant companion, and patient adopters to teach him his commands, reduce his anxiety and keep him adored and active fur-ever.
