Stanley
Stanley is a handsome hound dog / terrier mix with a copper brown coat. He's about 1 years old with a lot of silly puppy energy. Stanley is about 20 pounds and is all legs with a lean hound dog body. He may fill out a bit more as he matures into an adult dog.
While he can be shy at first in new surroundings, he is eager to please and loves all the attention he's getting from his foster family. He loves sitting on her lap and giving wet puppy dog kisses, even though he's a bit large for a lap! Stanley is learning so much in his foster home - sit, lay down, and not to jump up on people - he is a smart boy who is eager to learn. Stanley has mastered how to walk on a leash, and is well behaved while out on walks. Given his athletic build, long legs, and boundless energy, he would be an ideal dog for someone who would enjoy a running or hiking companion. He gets along with all other dogs and this high-energy playful pup would do best in a home with another playful pup to keep him occupied. Stanley chases cats so would be best in a household without cats. Being a big puppy, he will need lots of chew toys to keep occupied on the right things to chew. While Stanley will need continued training and patience, he will be eager to please his new owner and will be a loyal and loving companion.
Stanley is neutered, up to date on his vaccinations, and micro-chipped. If you’d like to meet him, please fill out an adoption application and a volunteer will be in touch.
