There’s no rust on our little Rusty! In fact, he’s sweeter than sweet and enviably high spirited for a senior his age.
Having lost his original owner, he’s now settled into his foster home and is merrily making the most of it. Calm yet curious, he loves being outdoors and exploring the yard – always at a trot – and he eagerly greets each new person he meets.
He also loves spending time on his foster mom’s lap -- the more time the happier he is -- and he gets along easily with other easygoing dogs. An excellent eater and motivated by treats, he comes when called, especially if it means going outside, and is leash, crate and house trained.
Sensitive areas along his neck and shoulders require that he be brushed gently and touched lightly to minimize his discomfort and any possible reactivity due to pain.
With much love to give, more laps to sit on and more yards to explore, all Rusty wants now is a chance to have them all – wrapped up in one fabulous fur-ever home.
Rusty is neutered, up to date on vaccinations and microchipped. To meet or adopt Rusty, fill out an application and a volunteer will contact you shortly.
