● Female
● 2 YR ● 35 lbs ● Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler ● Good with pets and kids Rosie is a gorgeous and friendly blue and brown eyed Blue Heeler who would do best with a family that could give her plenty of exercise, attention, and toys to keep her busy. Rosie knows to not jump on young children and will just flop over for belly rubs. She loves attention and will do a soft growl to tell you. Has zero food-aggression if you take away her bowl while she's eating. Rosie is adjusting to city noises around her and can pull quite hard when out for walks. She sometimes lunges at other dogs wanting to play as well as bikes. Nothing leash training couldn’t fix! Rosie is potty trained and will not go inside but needs a yard for her to do business off leash. She must be with someone who has a private yard as she does not go in public, on leash, or even dog parks. Rosie’s foster mom has said no to dog parks for now because although she may not mean harm, she goes straight for dogs legs when play chasing and has harmed/ scared another dog before. Until she learns to stop going for other dogs legs, she gets to go on fun walks, lake swims & hikes everyday! She is very active and will play/chew all day if not tired out. If another dog is barking at her or shows aggression, she will back off. Car rides are still a little scary as she can’t sit still so crating is best. She does not bark when you leave but may need to be crated as she chews on anything she can find out of boredom. Rosie has a few chipped teeth due to that. She sleeps wherever makes her comfortable such as the floor, dog bed, or couch. Rosie also attempts at opening doors so be careful! Rosie is learning basic commands and is doing very well! She can sit, lay down, and roll over. She would benefit from someone who can teach her obedient commands as well. She is terrified of stairs but her foster mom is working on that with her. She is also crate trained. Rosie is spayed, up to date on vaccinations and microchipped. Please fill out an application and a volunteer will be in touch. |
