Quentin |
The first comment people make, when they first see Quentin is ADORABLE. Not only is he handsome, he has a calming zen energy. He's super laid back in spite of being visually impaired. Once he gets oriented to his space, he's good. Quentin enjoys being outdoors, whether it's basking in the sun, spinning in the bark, rolling around on the grass or scratching his back on the ferns. He likes taking two or three walks during the day. Occasionally, he will lay down for a little while during the walk and you need to make sure he doesn't fall off a curb or run into a pole. He's not super food motivated and won't even beg if he notice's you eating. Stretching out next to you on the couch or sleeping in his bed are also favorites, but he needs to know you are nearby. We think it makes him feel safe, since he has poor eyesight. He's always a fan of ear and chest scratches. He's also potty trained but he has been taken out every couple of hours in his foster home. We suspect Quentin is part Basenji, the African barkless dog. He doesn't bark, is not smelly and sheds very little. Quentin would do well in an adult only home or with older children. He would enjoy someone who is home with him the majority of the time as he really enjoys being close to someone at all times. A fenced yard where he can enjoy the outdoors would be great. He is good with strangers and new dogs but it should be a careful introduction since his eyesight is impaired. Quentin is neutered, up to date on vaccinations and microchipped.
