Meet Pluto . He is a handsome young boy who was rescued from Merced. He is a sweet dog who has a lot of love to give and just wants to be loved. And that face, pretty irresistable. Pluto was very shy and timid when he first arrived . He was obviously very scared and unsure. Within a day though, he had warmed up to us and decided he loved to snuggle. He would just sit on our laps and lean into us. He had a few toileting accidents the first couple of days but quickly learned to go outside to potty. He learned to use the dog door within a few hours and could take himself outside to the backyard. He has not had any accidents since. He truly is one smart dog. 
Pluto is a very gentle sole who loves to be around people. He is thriving on the love he is receiving and has so much to give back in return. Pluto is still a bit skiddish and is frightened easily by sudden movements and noises. He is improving with this day by day. It will just take some time. Pluto was terrified of the leash when he first arrived but now happily takes a leashed walk around the block. 

Pluto is good with our two dogs though they are very high energy and kind of loud. Pluto seems a little taken aback by this at times so a home with a mellower bread of dog or as a solo dog would probably be best. He is perfectly fine though when we go out and have to leave him at home with the other dogs. They are all happily waiting for us in the bay window when we arrive home. Sometimes he even gives kisses. 
Pluto arrived with his tail between his legs. He now has the fastest wagging tail I have ever seen. He is so happy and excited when everyone gets up in the morning. He wants to snuggle and play. Speaking of playing, he is slowly learning to play with toys. We suspect that he may never have had a toy before. 

Pluto is nervous around new people and takes some time to warm up. There are times when he does still seem a little unsure about us, even though we will be petting him and talking to him. He just needs time and to be shown unconditional love. 

Anyone who is lucky enough to adopt this sweet boy will have a best friend for life, not to mention lots of snuggles and kisses.
