Initially shy in new surroundings, once he felt safe in his foster home, Papi released his true inner puppy. A slight independent streak has him either snuggling with and being petted by his foster mom, rolling around on the sofa, carpet or grass, and burrowing under the covers – in typical Chi fashion!
Perpetually playful despite his age, he scampers up stairs, loves going for walks, running here, there and everywhere, and eagerly exploring his environment. Highly food motivated (he may have no teeth but that doesn’t hamper his enthusiasm for eating), he responds to “come”, sleeps through the night in his crate or next to his foster mom in bed, and thrives on the reassuring company of other dogs.
Crate, leash (he uses a harness) trained and house trained, peppy and precocious Papi would LOVE to find an equally loving fur-ever home, preferably with another dog already there.
Papi is neutered, up to date on vaccinations and microchipped. To meet or adopt Papi, fill out an application and a volunteer will contact you shortly.
