Meet Muddy! Mature in years, but merry in spirit. He melts the hearts of every man, woman and child he meets. Left at a shelter by his original family to be euthanized, understandably depressed when we rescued him, he’s now an absolute delight - gentle and happy, loving and active. He thrives on the affection of his foster mom, especially in the form of cuddles, enjoys being gently brushed and doesn’t mind being bathed. He gets along easily with his doggy foster siblings, loves going for walks, walking well on a leash, and taking rides in the car. Although Muddy is deaf, he responds to his foster mom’s directions provided he’s looking at her. While he needs help getting up onto the couch or bed, he’s able to get down on his own, and he’s fully house trained. Friendly with the resident cat, but overly fond of cat litter, a covered litter box or baby gate works wonders in keeping his “appetite’ in check.
