Initially shy in new surroundings, Marty warms up quickly and you will soon have won over his heart forever!!
Thanks to the patient nurturing of his foster parents, Marty’s gentle nature has emerged, revealing how truly sweet and soft he is. He now thrives on their attention and affection, loves being petted, and gladly showers them with grateful kisses in return. Then, at night, he curls up contentedly in his doggy bed at the foot of their bed to sleep.
Marty loves playing with squeaky toys, tossing them about and enjoying the sounds they make or just mouthing them quietly on his bed as he is short on several teeth. He also likes to mouth at his bed, which his foster mom has figured out is a sign of boredom She let's him outside and he does "zoomies" around the backyard!! She joyfully looks on as it's quite silly with his long legs and full body. Acting sometimes more like a pup than an 8 year old.
He walks beautifully on a leash, no pulling or chasing bird or ducks. His foster mom is working on other commands such as "sit" and "stay."
He gets along easily with everyone, adults and children alike, and does extremely well with other calm, friendly dogs. Very well mannered, never jumping on people, he’s fully house trained, but not a fan of his crate.
Now, for Marty to thrive, he MUST have a home with a securely fenced backyard, perhaps another calm, friendly canine companion, and patient adopters who will allow him time to adjust to his new surroundings, while keeping him safe and well loved fur-ever.
Marty is neutered, up to date on vaccinations and microchipped. To meet or adopt Marty, fill out an application and a volunteer will contact you shortly.
