Initially shy in new surroundings, patience is key to earning Marty’s trust and winning his heart.
Thanks to the patience and nurturing of his foster mom, Marty’s true, gentle nature has emerged. He now loves her attention, loves being petted and sits beside her on the couch to give her sweet doggy kisses. And as his trust has grown, so has his appetite, allowing him to gain some much needed weight.
He gets along easily with children, other dogs and, yes, even birds (he doesn’t like rabbits or cats) and is very well mannered, never jumping on people and rarely barking. House trained but not a fan of his crate, he much prefers being outdoors where he can run and play.
As a potential flight risk, Marty is best suited to a home with a securely fenced backyard, and patient adopters committed to earning his trust and bolstering his confidence while keeping him safe and well loved fur-ever.
Marty is neutered, up to date on vaccinations and microchipped. To meet or adopt Marty, fill out an application and a volunteer will contact you shortly.
