Once little Luther felt comfortable in his foster home, his loving and playful personality emerged. Easygoing and ever so loyal to his foster mom, he follows her everywhere, cuddles with her, rolls over for tummy rubs, sits next to her while she watches TV, then sleeps with her under the covers. In fact, when he’s especially excited, his small ears dip down and he spins in happy circles onto his back for more of the tummy rubs he craves!
As active as he is affectionate, he loves running and jumping when he’s off leash, and going for both walks and hikes. Motivated more by cuddles than anything else – except the occasional bit of bacon – he comes when called even at the park, understands most of his commands, including “stay”, “down”, “no” and “come”, except for “sit.” Although he doesn’t yet play fetch or play with toys, he’ll eagerly run alongside another playful dog.
While he loves sitting on laps during car rides, he doesn’t love his car carrier, preferring a larger crate, and the only times he barks is when someone’s outside the house. Woof about one adorable little guard dog!
Leash and house trained, all Luther needs now is an active and affectionate home that will make him feel safe in exchange for his own enduring loyalty and love.
Luther is neutered, up to date on vaccinations and microchipped. To meet or adopt Luther, fill out an application and a volunteer will contact you shortly.
