Lucky

This handsome white German Shepherd was picked up in the streets of Madera. He was exhausted, emaciated and scared! Madera City Animal Control had been trying to get him off the streets for some time. When they reached him, he was in poor condition. They placed him with a loving foster home. For two days he just laid there and hardly moved. After some good meals and TLC he came back to life! Now he plays with other dogs and cats, wags his tail, has gained weight, and is finding confidence to trust again. He is still nervous in new situations as you see with his energy. We anticipate that he came from an abusive situation. He walks on a leash, has a beautiful coat and is very healthy and now needs his forever home. His home should be with experienced large dog advocates. Because he is still in need of training, we would not advise him to be with small children as he can knock them over, older children would be fine. He will be a great dog for someone that has the time to give him TLC, training, socialization, and a chance to know what responsible owners do for their dogs. In return he will give you love, attention, devotion and protection. German Shepherds are very smart, devoted and athletic. Make sure all these attributes can be satisfied when thinking about adopting him. Secure yard or enclosure is needed as well. He is well worth the investment in time and resources. Lucky is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations. To adopt Lucky, fill out an application. |
