Initially shy in new surroundings, once little Lester feels safe, he reveals his true inner sweetness and playfulness. Now safe in his foster home, he thrives on the attention of the adults and resident teen, loves being petted and held, does big stretches and cute play bows, and even sleeps, on occasion, at the foot of someone’s bed at night.

He also loves playing with his doggy foster friends, playing with toys, including rope toys and squeaky toys, balls and Kongs, often hiding them in his dog bed, exploring the house and running around the backyard. A mischievous mister, known to run off with socks and shoes, he loves treats of all kinds – from Greenies and crunchy dog treats to hot dogs -- and is especially enthusiastic about eating.

Motivated by food and toys, he knows “come” and “sit”, does well on car rides, and is crate and house trained but not leash trained. Now all Lester needs is a nurturing home, perhaps with another small dog, and patient adopters to bolster his confidence and perfect his leash skills in exchange for his own special sweetness and love.
