Lena |
Initially shy in new surroundings, once lovely Lena feels comfortable, she makes you her new best friend. Still very much a puppy, she percolates with peppiness and enthusiasm, and has a tail that wags nonstop. Adorably affectionate, she loves jumping up in her foster mom’s face for kisses, uses her small head to move her foster mom’s hand for more petting, and if she’s not fast enough, she’ll lightly claw at her arm. As active as she is affectionate, Lena loves playing ball and playing with toys on her own, particularly a stuffed mouse that she grabs by the tail and spins in circles. A great fan of treats, which she accepts gently, she especially enjoys Trader Joe’s Charlie Bear treats and rice sticks. Although she’s not much of a barker, she has quite a dominant personality when it comes to sharing her toys with other dogs, but she’ll joyfully join the resident dog in chasing squirrels through the yard. She walks fairly well on leash, is constantly curious, currently knows “sit” and sleeps through the night in her crate. Still fearful of strangers and at work on her housetraining, lovable Lena will thrive in a patient home with adopters to continue her socialization, complete her training, including her commands, and keep her well loved fur-ever. Lena is spayed, up to date on vaccinations and microchipped. To meet or adopt Lena, fill out an application and a volunteer will contact you shortly. |
