Irresistible Iver is endlessly enthusiastic about everything! A beguiling blend of affectionate and active, this sweet former stray adores attention, loves everyone he meets and is interested in interacting with every friendly dog he sees. He loves snuggling with his foster mom on the sofa, smothering her in kisses, giving her gentle head butts, and after expending all of his energy during the day, is more than content to cuddle up close to her in bed at night. Just recovering from surgery for cherry eye, he calmly allows her to carry him (in fact, he enjoys it), bathe him and apply his eye medicine, and rewards her tender ministrations with an extra kiss or two. Agile and athletic, he also loves going for walks, walking well on leash and getting better all the time, playing with squeaky toys, chewy toys and cardboard, endlessly entertaining himself with any or all of them. Famously fond of food, he’s a hearty eater who prefers carrots to peanut butter, and although he currently knows no commands, he’s clever, eager to please and to learn. While not yet fully crate trained, he eats his meals inside his crate and is at work on his house training. Known to jump up on people and bark out of sheer excitement, irrepressible Iver has limitless potential if adopted by loving adopters who will perfect his manners, complete his training (an older, mellow dog may be an ideal guide and companion for him), including his commands, and keep him both adored and active fur-ever.
