Handsome Hazen is happiest when snuggling next to his fosters and is especially fond of their older children, enjoying their energy and laughter. Easygoing and ever so sweet, with his signature head tilt and chocolate brown eyes, his soft ears are a joy to pet, and he gently nuzzles their hands with each pet. As active as he is affectionate, he loves going for short walks and playing fetch, and is independent enough to amuse himself by playing with a ball on his own or stretching out in his crate for a snooze. He also loves other dogs, sniffing them and wagging his tail, but being new to a leash, he’s still understandably nervous near busy streets and around too many people (his foster mom reads his signals and simply scoops him up). Highly intelligent and eager to please, he knows “sit” and “stop” and is learning to like car rides, but needs help getting into the car. Famously fond of cheese, his favorite meal is a mixture of wet and dry dog food with a few pieces of macaroni and cheese on top! And if Hazen has a hankering for socks, he’ll sneak them into his crate in the hopes that someone will play fetch with him. Crate trained and almost fully house trained, all happy Hazen needs now is a loving family to complete his training, including his commands, bolster his confidence and enjoy him fur-ever.
