Gilda AKA Gracie
“Graceful ballerina” and “adorable Prancer”. Yes! these are the comments you will hear as you walk by with Gracie.
Gracie is a 9 pound, 1 year old Miniature Pincher mix who is after everyone's heart. Fellow walkers passing by always stop and compliment her elegance and prance when she’s on a stroll. But don’t take our word for it. You have have to meet her to see it for yourself.
This cutie is not only graceful, but she is clearly a photogenic gal. Her beautiful brown eyes and radar ears are picture perfect. In typical California fashion, Gracie has the legs of a movie star the physique of and athlete, but what the camera doesn’t tell you is that she has an endearing disposition that you could only dream of. Gracie is an easy going pup, who, while is still very young, is an old soul.
Gracie is currently living with children 10+, but we are sure she would do fine with younger, well behaved, and respectful human siblings. Sudden movements will startle this sweetie so though so we will ask that any human sibling must show the utmost respect for her.
Now…does she get along with dogs and cats? YES! She has a doggie foster brother and they are often found playing. She is also currently living with cat foster siblings, and while she is curious about them knows not push her boundaries.
Gracie loves walks, takes complements from strangers and has a great “go with it” attitude. Whether your heart desires a neighborhood walk, a stroll on the beach, a Netflix bender, Gracie is up for it.
Have you heard enough? Well, there’s more! This little girl loves to give kisses! She is not picky and will take turns sitting with whoever is closest. She loves sleeping under the blanket and sleeps soundly thru the night. Gracie, although a Min Pin, is not a barker.
Since Gracie is still very young she is learning the ropes of being a pet. If a stranger tries to pet her and she isn’t ready for it, she will back away and growl letting them know that she needs some space. If a big dog comes near her, she will also bark to let them know she sees them and not to approach right now. She’s a scrappy little girl and she's a tough cookie. While these assertions are not at all bad, she needs guidance in learning how to react to these circumstances. The great news is that with positive reinforcement and treats, this highly food motivated girl is sure to learn quickly.
If you’d like to meet Gracie (aka Gilda), please fill out an adoption application and a volunteer will be in touch.
