Fritter is very loving to his chosen human. He makes his person feel like the only and most important person in the world. He's a super cute and sweet boy and likes to give lots of love and affection (and receive it ;)). The only time he isn't a lovebug is when he's in guard dog mode, and he's very good at doing that too. You won't be able to help but smile when you look at him because he's such a happy little guy! He isn't a picky eater and likes treats. He doesn't beg for food but tries to sneak in when able. He's been known to steal a couple of napkins from your lap. Fritter is very playful and might play attack, but not to fear, he has no front teeth so it doesn't hurt. He loves to hop in the car and stick his cute face out of the window. He is very excited to go on walks, he jumps around and paws the air when the harness comes out! Although on the older side, he can easily go for miles. He would be a great hiking/adventure buddy! He would also love to join you on trips to your favorite body of water as he loves a good swim. Fritter came to us pretty untrained but since he has been with us he has learned to sit and understands the word "no", so he's proven to be quite trainable. He is fully potty trained as well! He would do best in a home with only adults or with a family with older children. He loves being pet and scratched but he can be a bit touchy around his back end and his tummy so younger kids wouldn't be ideal. He would also probably prefer to an only dog, he is fine with the dogs in his foster home but can be a bit growly because he wants you all to himself! He is also very friendly with strangers and loves to meet new people to get all the scratches in. He wouldn't mind if you were home a lot to hang out with him as he has a smidge of separation anxiety. He is very sweet and is ready to be your lap dog! Fritter is neutered, up to date on vaccinations and micro chipped. Please fill out an application and a volunteer will be in touch soon. |
