Foster |
Perfectly sized and super sweet, Foster is one of the first of a pack of 10 (!!) feral dogs who is ready for his forever home! He started out very scared of people but with lots of love (and treats) his loving personality has shown itself. Now, he is a bit apprehensive with new people but ends up liking most folks after a quick adjustment period. He is generally calm, but has some bursts of energy where he loves to play! He just learned about balls and toys and it is very entertaining to watch him discover how fun they are. He follows his people around the house and enjoys being able to oversee the action. He knows the word “treat” and is mastering the “touch” command. He is highly food motivated so easy to train! He will go crazy for cheese, but only slightly less crazy for any other food. One of his funniest traits is that he enjoys collecting random items and puts them in his bed or food bowl. He signals his love/need for food by carrying his food bowl around too! He loves his foster dog sibling and gets along with the in-home cats. Foster will need help desensitizing him to the harness still. Although he has worn it and will go for short walks, he still isn’t comfortable with it. Foster should not go to a home with young kids either as he can become anxious. Foster is neutered and up to date with vaccinations. To adopt foster please fill out an application and a volunteer will be in touch. |
