Bashful in black, gray and white, dearest Dixie, saved from a hoarding situation, is slowly learning how fabulous it feels to be loved. Although she’s still most comfortable in the company of other dogs, tenderness and time, patience and persistence have made her foster mom her new best friend! Thanks to a daily training and exercise regime, a soft doggy bed, bowls filled with water and food, and a large crate to sleep in at night, she’s traded fearfulness for friskiness and enervation for excitement. From tail wags and happy yipping to sweet, silly grins, she’s been blooming as she continues to be picked up, petted and handled ever so gently and respectfully. A paws-itive work in progress, at work on her leash and housetraining, Dixiedearest deserves an especially patient and nurturing home to build on that progress, complete her training, and ensure she feels secure and well loved fur-ever.
