Every day is a day at the beach for Dennis! Formerly known as Finn at the shelter, he still responds to that name as he slowly settled into the safety and security of his foster home. Sadly, because of his abusive past, he’s had to re-learn that a human’s touch can be gentle and that people can be kind. Now that his patient fosters have earned his trust, he loves being petted and cuddled. And he’s proven to be not only a perfect passenger in the car but an avid adventurer, enjoying his visits to the beach, the home of one of his fosters’ friends and the nearby mall. Well behaved enough to remain alone and sleep when his foster mom goes out, he also stays quiet or dozes next to her while she’s working from home, listens to “no” every time and seldom barks. A heart eater who stops once he’s full, he’s house trained, uses pee pads as well, and does best with several potty breaks a day. Although he’s not fond of other dogs, if there’s a dog at home already, he’ll slowly but surely learn to be friends. With so much potential to live the most loving of lives, Finn will thrive in an extremely patient and nurturing home that will prove to him, finally, that the world is truly a wonderful place. Dennis/Finn is neutered, up to date on vaccinations and microchipped. To meet or adopt him, fill out an application and a volunteer will contact you shortly. |
