Debbie

Debbie is the dearest, most darling of dogs! Despite having been rescued after suffering two broken legs (one front, one back), there’s nothing she desires more than LOVE. Happiest in the company of her doting fosters, she’s as easygoing as she is easy to please, and for her, there truly is no place like home. She asks her foster mom for the pets she adores, curls up next to her on the couch and follows after her like a faithful doggy shadow. Sweetly serene, she especially enjoys burrowing under blankets and sunbathing in the backyard, and although she’s intimidated by the hurly-burly of the dog park, she gets along with her doggy foster friends. So well behaved that she only barks when someone comes to the door, she likes chewing bones, is highly food motivated, knows “come” and “stay,” and “sit/gentle” when being fed or taking treats. Understandably fearful of being far from home given her abusive past, she walks briefly on leash then stops, and dislikes rides in the car. Currently honing her crate and house training skills, she sleeps soundly through the night – either near her fosters’ bed or in her own bed – without waking them. Now all Debbie desires is a calm, understanding and loving home with someone there most of the time to complete her training, including her commands, and keep her company on the couch fur-ever. Debbie is spayed, up to date on vaccinations and microchipped. To meet or adopt Debbie, fill out an application and a volunteer will contact you shortly. |
