Cyrus

He also loves playing catch, pouncing to get the ball before prancing back with it proudly, and walking for two to three miles a day, sniffing the sidewalks, grass and bushes along the way. In fact, he gets so excited when it’s time to go out that he does this cute little trot in eager anticipation. With a tendency to bark at passing dogs, and a yen to chase after squirrels, he does best off leash at the dog park with other friendly dogs. Allergic to chicken but highly food motivated, he play bows and “chats” excitedly at meal times, loves his squeaking duck toy, bully sticks and toys with food, knows “come” and “sit”, and enjoys going on car rides, giving him the chance to gaze curiously out of the window. Fond of sleeping in the front window when it’s time to re-charge his batteries, what he’s not fond of are strangers standing over him. The key to gaining his trust is getting down on the floor with him, allowing him to come over and rub his head gently across their faces in happy acceptance of their presence and attention. Now on the prowl for a loving fur-ever home, Cyrus is certain to thrive in one with older children and patient adopters who will earn his trust and bolster his confidence, continue his socialization and complete his commands in exchange for an endearing love like no other. Cyrus is neutered, up to date on vaccinations and microchipped. To meet or adopt Cyrus, fill out an application and a volunteer will contact you shortly. |
