Charlie is an “easy-peasy” guy looking to spend his Golden Years in an adult only home. He needs to be the only dog in the household (he has not been tested with cats). Although he has some hearing loss, Charlie’s not deaf. And, he recently completed dental work—-hurrah!
Reliably housebroken, he doesn’t mind snoozing away for several hours at a time if you are away from the house.
His favorite times of the day are meal times. Charlie likes to stand with one paw on your foot as you fill his bowl—-a polite reminder he can hardly wait for breakfast or dinner to be served! He does guard his food bowl and treats.
His second favorite activity is a long “sniffari” walk. He is an enthusiastic walking buddy with excellent leash skills, carrying his plumed tail like a happy white flag. He is learning not to bark at other passing dogs since a tasty treat awaits good manners.
Charlie is not a cuddly lap dog or a couch buddy, but he loves to lounge on the floor near his humans, often at their feet. He will stand “forever” at your side for a soothing ear massage or back scratch. At night he sleeps in a comfy dog bed on the bedroom carpet. Before bounding downstairs for breakfast, he rolls on his back for a gentle tummy rub.
This quiet, undemanding little dude will quickly make paw prints on your heart!
Charlie is neutered, up to date on vaccinations and microchipped. To meet or adopt Charlie, fill out an application and a volunteer will contact you shortly.
