Bentley- ADOPTED

BENTLEY
Bentley is a 7 year old Boston Terrier mix who weighs 17 lbs. Bentley was surrendered by his family to a shelter, but he was saved by Rescue the Underdog and is now living the good life in his foster home. Prior to being left at the shelter, Bentley spent nearly two years living exclusively in a backyard with a shed for shelter. You’d never know it though because he’s taken to indoor home living like a dog to a tennis ball. The perfect balance of relaxed, playful, and affectionate, Bentley loves afternoon naps just as much as he loves fetch or a good chew toy. A high-energy dog, he’s best suited for a home where he can be taken on long walks or hikes. Did I mention he likes naps? He also loves tennis balls. A lot. He knows basic commands like sit, stay, and lie down, and learns quickly if you’ve got a tasty treat to reward him with. He walks well on a leash and absolutely loves people. Bentley is very well house trained, though he may be tempted to mark in the first few days until he gets settled in his new home. Incredibly gentle when accepting treats or being handled (impressively patient when dealing with paws, ears, mouth, etc). Bentley loves receiving pets in all forms, though he’s particularly fond of the belly rub. After all his time alone outside he’s also still getting used to being around other dogs, he’d be best in a home where he’s the main attraction. Bentley is a sweet boy and will make an incredible addition to any home. He bonded with his current foster family in less than a week! Bentley is neutered, up to date on vaccinations and microchipped. Please fill out an application and a volunteer will be in touch soon. |
