Sweet, good natured and kindhearted, the primary verb in his puppy vocabulary is LOVE.
Lovable and loving, he thrives on attention, adore cuddling and snuggling with his foster mom, kissing her and being kissed, and having his belly rubbed. Seldom apart, his brother Bowe also loves playing with toys and with one another, play wrestling and roughhousing, trading toys and stealing each other’s food. Then, at bedtime, Barry will gently groom Bowe’s ear before they drift off to sleep, curled up cozily together.
Easygoing and eager to please, they both enjoy almost everything! While they both love mini squeaky toys, chew toys and Nylabones, Bowe especially loves mini Kong tennis balls, using them for playing catch with his foster mom. Curious but cautious as they explore their environment and savor each new sight and sound, they’re slowly gaining in confidence with continued patience and ongoing encouragement.
Motivated by love, treats and toys, and particularly responsive to positive praise for “going outside” or for “a job well done”, they should, given time and consistency, hone their puppy manners, including their tendency to bark, and learn their commands. Not yet leash, crate or house trained, these promising pups are best suited to a loving home with patient adopters who will guide them all the way to maturity in exchange for a double dose of their delightful doggy love.
Bowe and Barry are neutered, up to date on vaccinations and microchipped. To meet or adopt Bowe or Barry, fill out an application and a volunteer will contact you shortly.
