BACON
|
Saved on the same day that he was scheduled for euthanasia, bright-eyed and beautiful Bacon is very much alive and thriving in his foster home. Extremely malnourished when he arrived, he’s understandably motivated by food and is merrily making up for lost weight and lost time. An endearing combination of easygoing and energetic with a puppy’s curiosity, everything he sees is exciting and new as he takes full advantage of his second chance at life. Sweet and social, frisky and friendly, he loves snuggling by his foster mom’s side as much as he loves playing long games of tug-o-war with his German Shepherd foster brother. He also loves playing with a variety of toys, particularly tennis balls, amusing his foster mom by the way he bunny hops when he chases after them, and lying under her bed to coyly play hide and seek with her. Loving towards everyone he meets, adults and children alike, he enjoys being at the dog park, now enjoys car rides, and especially enjoys freeze dried beef hearts as treats, accepting them gently. Highly intelligent, eager to learn and to please, Bacon currently knows “come”, “sit”, “off”, “back”, is working on “stay”, is crate trained and almost fully leash trained. He is still learning that it can’t be play time all the time, but with some more structure, Bacon will be the perfect asset to an active and fun loving home! Now all Bacon needs is a loving home to complete his training, including his commands, and keep him happily active in exchange for his own enduring loyalty and love. Bacon is neutered, up to date on vaccinations and microchipped. To meet or adopt Bacon, fill out an application and a volunteer will contact you shortly. |
