Niki
Niki is an 8yr old boy who’s got some sweet and savory in his personality. We’re not exactly sure just what his breed is, appears to be a spaniel mix, but he is a pure adorable mutt, 20 pounds of it!
Niki can be a real sweetheart, but he does need his space every now and then. He can be very loyal and a bit protective. Once he learned to trust his foster mom (took 2-3 days), he’s been her shadow ever since and loves, in fact insists on cuddling with her every night. He also loves one of the other dogs in the house and often goes and cuddles with the dog. He gets along with other dogs although he does like to push his weight around now and then.
Niki loves to go for walks and is house trained. He may have accidents initially, might even try and mark his territory the first couple of days, but after that he likes a clean home and doesn’t get it dirty.
He has a medium energy level and he is always up for an adventure. He can get very excited during food time. He is quite the gymnast, can jump high and even do twirls in the air, I’ve actually seen him do a double-axel. He’ll only do this performance for food. He also likes to collect dog toys and will guard them. Typically, that isn’t a problem till someone tries to steal his toys.
What makes Niki endearing is that while he bonds well with his human, he’s no pushover either. He definitely has an independent streak to him but just the right amount. It’s just enough to make him interesting and fun!
If you like sweet, loving dogs with a hint of attitude, Niki is your boy. Niki would likely do best in a home with adults, preferably with people who’ve had some experience with dogs. He would not be a good fit for a home with kids.
Niki is neutered, up to date on shots and microchipped.
