Meet Casper the friendly dog! He's a hoot! His crooked ears and goofy walk make him one of a kind. 8 year old Casper likes to say "hi" to everyone he meets. Not shy at all, Casper is a blast to be around. He was found wandering the streets of Modesto dragging his left hind leg. His toes were bloodied and into a high kill shelter he went.....He was scheduled to be put to death after just a few days because his injuries made him "adoptable". Fun loving Casper was rescued on his last day, brought to a vet and evaluated.
This sweet boy has been diagnosed with mild nerve damage in his lower back causing some weakness in his back and bladder. He goes for walks, jumps and plays and when it gets tired, he just picks it up and continues on 3 legs! The vet said he is not in any pain and at this point, it's just part of who he is/will be. Casper's ideal home is a particular one. He's a special boy who is looking for a special home. His must haves: minimal stairs, an accessible yard, another dog, and most of all, one that is full of love. Is it a match?
His foster mama loves him so much that he's on a homemade diet. He's got sensitive skin that has been known to flare up when fed certain types of dog food so Casper is living the good life eating homecooked meals. He will be transitioning to high quality dog food soon though as it is not expected that his "fur"ever home cook his meals!
Casper has been neutered, is up to date with vaccines and has been microchipped! He's now looking for a loving home to call his own. If you're looking for a social dog who is grateful for a second chance, then meet Casper. He'll win your heart!!
