"Niki is an 8yr old boy who’s got some salt and vinegar in his personality. We’re not exactly sure just what his breed is but we’re betting on pure adorable mutt, 20 pounds of it!
Niki and his brother Hoke were dumped at the high kill shelter by their owner with the excuse that they didn’t get along with children. We suspect they weren’t treated very well either as Niki’s hair was matted and dirty and his nails were extremely long… We also now know that they actually both get along fine with kids. Hoke ended up being adopted by a wonderfurl family with kids and they couldn’t be happier!
Now it’s Niki’s turn to find his forever loving family of his own. Poor thing was shy and a little guarded at first, clearly was unsure of our intentions. But it didn’t take long for him to loosen up once he got into a foster home though. After a couple of days of keeping to himself, he came to figure out he was safe and he’s been sweet ever since.
Niki loves to go for walks and also has some house training. He has a medium energy level and he is always up for an adventure. He gets along with other dogs although he does like to push his weight around now and then.
What makes Niki endearing is that while he bonds well with his human, he’s no pushover either. He definitely has an independent streak to him but just the right amount. It’s just enough to make him interesting and fun!
If you like sweet, loving dogs with a hint of attitude, Niki is your boy. Niki would likely do best in a home with adults and with kids who know how to give a dog a little space when needed.
Niki is neutered, up to date on shots and microchipped.
