Mccoy |
Small in size but LARGE in love, mischievous McCoy thrives on being the center of his foster mom’s attention. Big on snuggling, bordering somewhat on clingy, he loves sitting on her lap, being petted, following her everywhere and burrowing under the covers. He gets along well with other women, men and older children, and, as a flirty fellow, prefers the company of female dogs to males. Cuter than cute, puppy-like in his behavior and ever so energetic, he also loves playing with toys, including rope toys and balls, chewing on bones and on Kongs, fetching, running around the backyard when the weather is nice, and going for car rides. Motivated by food, toys and praise, he loves all treats, accepting them gently, knows “sit”, “come”, “go potty”, sometimes responds to “stay” and “off”, and tolerates being bathed. Uneasy when left alone and not a fan of his crate, he does eat his meals in it, and is diligently at work on his leash skills. With much to learn and much to give, McCoy needs a loving home with older, dog-savvy children (or adults-only) to complete his training, bolster his confidence and continue his socialization in exchange for his own, larger-than-life LOVE. McCoy is neutered, up to date on vaccinations and microchipped. To meet or adopt McCoy, fill out an application and a volunteer will contact you shortly. |
