MARTY |
Looking for a sweet, loving dog that will be a part of the family? You've found him in Marty! Marty thrives on affection, loves being petted, and gladly showers you with grateful kisses in return. Calm and confident, he welcomes affection from strangers and family members alike. He will curl up happily next to you on the sofa or in his dog bed next to your chair. He hasn't shown any signs of food aggression, resource guarding, separation anxiety or destructive behaviors. He gets along easily with everyone, adults and children alike, and does extremely well with other friendly dogs. Well mannered, never jumping on people, he’s fully house trained. Marty does like to chase cats so he would need a household with no cats. He thrives on a 15 to 20 minute walk every day or a longer walk (e.g. 2 mile walk) every other day. He walks beautifully on a leash, no pulling or chasing ducks. His foster mom is working on commands such as "sit" and "stay." Even though he is an adult, Marty still gets the "zoomies" around his foster parent's backyard. They joyfully look on as it's quite silly with his long legs and full body - acting sometimes more like a pup than an 8 year old. We don't know what happened to Marty, why he was picked up as a stray, but he is a wonderful dog - looking for a safe, loving home. Marty must have a securely fenced back yard. He is a the sweetest boy and and will return all the affection his fur-ever family gives him!! Marty is neutered, up to date on vaccinations and microchipped.
