Meet sweet and sassy Sarah! This cute girl hit a rough patch after being left at the shelter by her former owners, but she’s rebounded nicely now that she is back in the comforts of a home. She loves the finer things in life, like a comfy bed, a blanket, yummy food, and a plush toy. At about 10 years young, Sarah is a mellow gal throughout the day, but does get a pep in her step to play a couple times a day. Her favorite thing to do is to settle in her bed and flip her blanket over herself with her nose. She covers herself up like a person and then sticks just her nose and eyes out.
Due to her past (not much socialization and maybe some bad treatment), Sarah is skeptical of new people. The good news is she is incredibly food and treat motivated and with patience and love, she opens her heart. She has learned that getting pet is the best thing ever and she now follows her foster family around and gives a gentle nose touch to ask for attention. She has made so much progress as a foster dog and will surely grow even more in a forever home. She is faithful companion with a sweet face and a sassy growl when she is unsure. She is happy to be around other dogs as long as they respect her food and bed. Sarah prefers a calm home with no children or older children experienced in caring for a shy dog.
Sarah is potty pad trained and currently uses a dog door, which she loves. Sarah is spayed, up to date on shots and microchipped. If you'd like to know more about Sarah, fill out an application and a volunteer will be in touch shortly.
