Carrot
Sweet pup Carrot is less than 2yrs old, 40 pounds with a beautiful tan, short coat. He is very sweet and affectionate. Even though Carrot can be shy, he is also very curions about people and gets on very well with other dogs. Carrot loves to run and stretch his legs as well as curl up next to you on the couch or large chair while you are watching tv. Poor Carrot was found as a stray, famished in the Valley and no other rescue would save him from the high kill shelter because he was not sure how to receive affection from humans. Truth is Carrot is still learning how to be a pet and he is blossoming a little more each day. He is house trained if you can let him out in the backyard several times a day. Carrot understands and follows some basic commands like " Let's go potty, no, come here, come up, get down and eat your food". He sleeps well through the night in his carrier without interruption. He eats dry kibble but really enjoys wet food and people food. Can you blame him?! Carrot also loves his chewies. No barking, if ever. He doesn’t know how to walk on a leash but he is so sweet, smart and curious about everything that we know that with some patience and a little work he will love going on hikes one day soon. He needs a long-term loving and patient foster home or adoptive family that will give him the time and love he deserves. That home must have strong, high fences that he cannot jump over.
